Gaia's path to Chinese medicine is unexpected and compelling. She spent more than 20 years working in anesthesiology and intensive care medicine, environments where the focus was on acute interventions and keeping people alive. That foundation gave her a deep respect for Western medicine and an equally clear-eyed view of its limitations. She regularly encountered patients whose suffering wasn't fully addressed by the tools available to her. That recognition sparked curiosity about what else was possible.
When Gaia discovered Chinese medicine, she found a framework that answered the questions Western medicine couldn't. The depth of its diagnostic logic, the elegance of its approach to the whole person, and the real results she witnessed drew her in completely. She pursued her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at Five Branches University in San Jose, California, bringing her clinical background with her into every class. That dual foundation shapes everything she does in the treatment room.
Gaia's practice centers on fertility and reproductive health in all its dimensions: cycle regulation, ovulation support, IVF preparation, endometrial health, and postpartum recovery. But her scope is broad. She brings extensive experience in pain management, internal medicine, and the complex, chronic presentations that patients often feel haven't been addressed elsewhere. She is trained in herbal medicine, electroacupuncture, photobiomodulation, and facial rejuvenation, tools she draws on based on what each individual patient needs.
What sets Gaia apart is her fluency in both worlds. Not many acupuncturists have spent years in the OR and ICU. She is genuinely comfortable speaking with Western medical providers, integrating care across disciplines, and helping patients navigate the intersection of conventional and traditional medicine.
